Office of the Dean Students Welfare
The office of Dean Students Welfare functions as a nodal center to promote various activities for the welfare of the students. All the important activities that have direct impact on the lives of the students are student driven. For the overall development of the students, the activities designed in consultation with the students under the guidance of senior faculty members are placed for approval and published in academic calendar of the institute.
All this is being done under the guidance of proctorial team comprising of Associate Dean Students Welfare Dr. Tanveer Rasool Dar and our wardens Dr. Janibul Bashir, Dr. Jaya Shrivastava, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Waseem, Dr. Shashikant Kumar, Dr. Saleem Yousuf, Dr. Ravi Kumar, Dr. Majid Hussain, Dr. Vivek, Dr. Mohsin Khan, Dr. Valliboina Venkatesvarlu and Dr. Parameshwar, who are actively involved as committee members of all the major committees and clubs.
For building a successful carrier, it is essential that along with academics, everyone is involved in technical, cultural, sports, extracurricular and social activities. It helps in overall development of personality.
At present there are various student clubs functioning in the Institute. Activities of these clubs are organized and managed by students themselves under the guidance of coordinators (who are actually wardens). Students can participate in any number of clubs. These clubs contribute to arts, culture, literature, innovation, personality development, debates, technical activities, Yoga, meditation and so on.
Apart from the clubs we have student chapters’ professional societies in various departments. These chapters organize professional activities regularly which contribute in the development of professionalism.
Sports in another significant area which helps in development of team spirit and competitive spirit. Sports activities also helps in physical stamina building and stress relaxation.
